Writer’s Groups

A Writer’s Group is a chance for writers to collaborate, bounce ideas around, shake off doubts and get excited about their project, growing in self-confidence as a writer.

Above all, it is FUN!

EASTER SCHOOL HOLIDAY DATES: Monday April 11, 9-11am. Run online.

What we will do:

• – Begin with a fun short creative writing excercise to wake up our brains
• – Have a mentored session on writing techniques; such as plot development, strong characters, creating tension, memoir techniques, etc (this will be tailored to what the individuals in the group are interested in writing)
• – Then, each participant will share some work
• – After, we all engage in a guided (closely, by me) critique on the work. This extends everyone’s skills – when you can pick out what’s good, you can put it in your own work!

What you will get:

• – Bookings come with a FREE Creative Writing Workshop Video of your choice, which may be helpful in creating the work for our Writer’s Group
• – Every participant has the opportunity to be published on the A Way With Words website
• – After, there is an opportunity to continue the Writer’s Group after our sessions (with or without me!) – believe me, it’s worth it!

** If these times or dates do not suit you, please let me know, as there may be opportunity to create more sessions **

** Groups need a minimum of four participants to run due to the collaborative nature of the event. If an event cannot be run, you have the option to be refunded or have a credit for anything else from A Way With Words. If you pay with the Creative Kids Voucher, unfortunately they cannot be refunded through ServiceNSW so only a credit can be offered in that case **
