The My Story App has been designed by Felicity, a life story writer and course facilitator for over a decade. It has been designed as very easy to use, taking into consideration all generations of people wish to record their life stories, especially our senior demographic, which have not had the experience of intuitive technology learning.

You can speak your whole life story using the website’s microphone function and it will convert your voice to text. There is an optional editing function to tidy up the speech elements, add photos, then you can hit print and your story will be printed in a beautiful coffee-table style book.

One of the most frustrating things with technology is the lack of help easily accessible – not with My Story App! Felicity’s phone number is on the website – a real phone number, with a real person on the other end of the line to talk to! This was another addition to ensure the process of using the website is as easy as possible.

Here are some features which make this the easiest way to record your story with the My Story App:

1. 1. Type your story, in the traditional manner of writing
   2. Use Voice-to-Text – speak your story and watch the words type themselves;
   3. Convert your hard copy diaries or printed writing into an electronic format
   4. Or, a mix of all of the above!
   5. You can add photos throughout your story
   6. No need to worry about structure, record the stories as they come to you, then move chapters around into their correct order with the easy-to-use Library interface
   7. Use the “Edit Your Work” page to tidy up your grammar, add some ‘flavour’ to your writing, or even write it for you from your suggestions
   8. Decide on a cover image and title, hit Preview and you will see your whole life story book! Save it for yourself, your friends, the kids and grandkids, and for posterity.
   9. Hit optional print (extra cost) and wait for your beautiful, book to arrive at your door.
   10. Subscription lasts a year, so you have plenty of time, but also encouragement to get writing!
