Rocks and Feathers: A Memoir by Maureen Lane
$37 Free postage
Rocks and Feathers is a memoir of Maureen Lane and the story of her generation. Born in the 1950s into the warm embrace of a loving and vibrant family, her childhood was one of movies and make-believe that merged into a devotion to the Beatles and Australian music. A teen bride, she emerged from the 1970s as a feminist. By the 1980s she had new-found wisdom, had co-authored a book and had a career, only to have it suddenly cut short. Struck down, but not out, she found true friendships and, most importantly, true love. Hers is the story of a post-war woman told through sorrowfully heavy and hilariously light anecdotes – her Rocks and Feathers.
